Free Admission to Kilkenny Castle

As part of Heritage Week 2024 Kilkenny Castle is offering free admission on Saturday the 17th and Sunday the 18th of August.
Discover the ancestral home of the Butler Family with a free self-guided visit to the magnificent Victorian period rooms of Kilkenny Castle.
No advance booking required, tickets will be available from our ticket desk from 9:15am. We will have an outdoor que in operation. Please note that this is a very busy site and visitor may experience delays. Last admission is 5pm
Partial wheelchair access, children must be supervised.
