CJ Kickham Brass and Reed Band
The CJ Kickham Brass and Reed Band was founded in 1882 and is an integral part of the culture and history of the former British Army Garrison town of Tipperary Town.
Under the baton of Denis Lynch the band play at many community events all over Ireland throughout the year.
In recent years playing in the grounds of Kilkenny Castle has become one of the Bands favourite outings of the Summer season. Its always a lovely day of music and culture.
The Band always finish their performances with a World War One tune known all over the world called “ It’s a long way to Tipperary”.
