As Kilkenny Castle celebrates 50 years in state care, we are delighted to co-present with St Patrick’s Day Festival a wonderful afternoon of FREE music and family fun at the Castle Park (immediately after the St Patrick’s Day Parade which this year will finish on the Castle Road).

Included in this wonderful afternoon will be:

  • The Joshua Tree – the ultimate U2 Tribute Band – with a free open air concert
  • Spraoi’s Float of the Bumble Bees
  • Deise Medieval’s Kiddie Vike – demonstration of Viking Battles
  • The wonderful Fanzini Brothers
  • An Gaeltacht Bheag
  • Step inside ‘Irish Traditional Old Bog Cottage’
  • Giant Community Drum
  • Ballycallan Fife & Drum Band
  • Unarmed combat displays from the local Defence Forces
