The Serving Room

This room has recently been restored to house elements of the collection. It was once used as a serving room or butler’s pantry in relation to the formal dining room across the hall. On display are two late 17th century family trees indicating the venerable history of the Butler family and two displays of South American stuffed birds. Taxidermy and the study of ornithology were popular interests among the gentry.
