THE DUCHESS BOARDROOM

The Victorian Duchess Boardroom with its elegant gilded plasterwork is located on the second floor of the Parade Tower wing and provides an opulent yet relaxed ambience in the most intimate surroundings.  It affords beautiful views over Kilkenny City and the splendid formal Rose Garden of the Castle.

The Duchess Boardroom is available for:

THE ORMONDE BOARDROOM

This smaller Victorian Boardroom is located on the first floor of The Parade Tower Wing and provides a perfect exclusive setting.

THE MEDIEVAL ROOM

The Medieval Room situated at the base of the Parade Tower and opening into the Courtyard reflects 800 years of history at Kilkenny Castle.  With its arrow loops and central oak column supporting a 15th century post and beam ceiling, it is undeniably a very atmospheric space. 

The Medieval Room is available for:

THE PICTURE GALLERY

The magnificent Picture Gallery is situated in the east wing of Kilkenny Castle.  This stunning space dates from the 19th century and was built primarily to house the Butler Family’s fine collection of paintings and is certainly evocative of that bygone era.   Today, the Gallery provides a very elegant setting for pre-dinner drinks before retiring to dinner at The Parade Tower.   The Gallery is also available for evening cultural events.
